The Sewing Bee Café operated by Debbie Roberts, offers a friendly and welcoming environment where you can shop for beautiful fabrics, patterns and haberdashery. You will find the kettle is always on so why not stop for a cuppa and a chat.
Why do we call ourselves a café?
Well, we are similar to an internet café except that instead of providing computers for hourly hire, we can provide sewing machines and overlockers for in house hire. Our experience tells us that many want to learn to sew without having the upfront outlay for a machine – it gives people the opportunity to ensure they love sewing and to determine what features they need before committing to an expensive purchase.
Our hire rates are reasonable
We offer a range of workshops in sewing, patchwork and toy making – each workshop will be pitched at a range of experience from ‘absolute beginner’ to ‘almost an expert’.
